THE GRB-4 & 6 PROVIDES 4 & 6 INCHES OF LIFT BY MOVING THE AXLE CENTER LINE UPWARDS BY 4 OR 6 INCH'S AT THE WHEEL HUB ALLOWING FOR GREATER GROUND CLEARANCE UNDER THE AXLE CENTER. BY MOVING THE AXLE CENTER LINE,WE'RE ABLE TO MAINTAIN FACTORY POSITIONS AND ANGLE MEASUREMENTS ON THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS,CV SHAFTS AND TIE RODS.
THE GRB ALSO PROVIDES A WIDER TRACK WIDTH, ADDING APPROXIMATELY 1.75 INCHES TO EACH SIDE. THE WIDER TRACK WIDTH ALLOWS YOUR UTV TO STAY MORE STABLE ESPECIALLY WITH LARGER TIRES.
GEAR REDUCTION
FOR INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE, THE GRB INCLUDES A 1:1.4 GEAR REDUCTION (ABOUT 30%) THAT HELPS YOU G AIN BACK THE TORQUE LOST TO LARGER TIRES. EACH GRB IS CRAFTED FROM HIGH STRENGTH MILITARY GRADE BILLET ALUMINUM THAT HOUSES THREE MICRO ALLOY HEAT TREATED STEEL GEARS INCLUDING A DRIVE GEAR,AND IDLER GEAR, AND A DRIVEN GEAR. THE DRIVEN GEAR IS PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED TO ACCOUNT FOR INCREASED TORQUE LOADS AS IT TURNS A CNC MACHINED 4140 HEAT TREATED STEEL SPINDLES. THE STEEL GEARS ARE ENCAPSULATED INSIDE THE BILLET ALUMINUM CASE FEATURE INDUSTRIAL GRADE WHEEL BEARINGS AND SEALS. UTV SOLUTIONS PROPRIETARY "TRI-COAXIAL" BEARING CONFIGURATION ON THE AXLE SHAFT GIVES THE UTV OWNER THE CONFIDENCE TO ADD EXTREME SIZE TIRES. THE AXLE INPUT AND THE SPINDLE OUTPUT POSITIONS ARE SEALED WITH HIGH GRADE AUTOMOTIVE SEALS TO PREVENT MUD,WATER AND DEBRIS FROM ENTERING THE GRB UNIT.
THE UTV SOLUTIONS GRB-4 & 6 ARE GEARED FOR PERFORMANCE BY MULTIPLYING TORQUE AT THE WHEEL. THIS TECHNOLOGY MEANS THAT LESS TORQUE IS TRANSFERRED BACK THROUGH THE CV AXLE SHAFTS,DIFFERENTIAL,AND OTHER DRIVE TRAIN/SUSPENSION COMPONENTS.
